1972年から続く、アメリカ・カリフォルニア州の
FM局"KKUP"のプロモーション用Tシャツ。
アインシュタインがサックスを吹くイラストという
自由でローカルなプリントに惹かれました。
そんなTシャツを後染めし、より個性ある1枚へと
昇華させた逸品。
古着らしく程良く使い込まれた状態は、
Tシャツだからこそ愛嬌へ変わりますし、
アインシュタインをモチーフにしたTシャツの中でも
変わり種という点から、差別化にも長けた
Tシャツではないでしょうか。
後染め特有のムラのある染まり具合が◎

This is a promotional T-shirt for "KKUP," an FM
radio station based in California that has been
broadcasting since 1972.
I was drawn to the free-spirited, local-vibe
graphic featuring an illustration of Albert
Einstein playing the saxophone.
It has been transformed into a truly unique
piece through an over-dyeing process.
The perfectly broken-in, vintage feel adds a
certain charm—something that works
especially well for a T-shirt—
and as an unconventional take on the classic
Einstein-themed tee, it really stands out from
the crowd.
The uneven, mottled finish characteristic of
over-dyeing looks fantastic.
