アメリカのアーティスト兼詩人である
Judith Bondが、1986年に手掛けた作品
”BOOK OF LOVE”
どうやら処分されるはずだった本物の古本を使用し、
9つの手作業を経て制作されているようです。

”ANNIVERSARIES”
こちらは結婚式や記念日などで
贈られたものでしょうか、
向かって右側の詩は、頭文字の縦読みをも交えた
詩人らしい表現力の高さ。
自己満足と言ってしまえばそれまでですが、
こんなオブジェが心休まる部屋の一角にあれば、
より気分良く過ごせるのではないでしょうか。

"Unreadable Books"
These are works created in 1986 by the
American artist and poet Judith Bond.
"BOOK OF LOVE"
It appears they were crafted using genuine
vintage books—originally destined for disposal
—through a process involving nine distinct
manual steps.

"ANNIVERSARIES"
Perhaps this piece was a gift for a wedding or
an anniversary?
The poem on the right-hand side showcases
the poet's expressive skill, incorporating an
acrostic element where the initial letters
spell out a message.
One might dismiss it as a mere indulgence of
the creator, but having such an object in a
quiet corner of the room could surely make
one's time spent there feel all the more
pleasant.
